She gives us an insight into what you can expect as far as lodging when you stay at LWCC.
Hello, my name is Deanna Haley. I have served as Housekeeping Supervisor for Lake Williamson Christian Center since March, 2006. I have decided to share with you today what you can expect regarding Housekeeping Services and amenities when you make your visit to Lake Williamson.
We offer what we refer to as Motel-Style or Dorm-Style lodging. What is the difference? The main difference would simply be stated that in Dorm-Style lodging you bring your own bedding and towels. We also offer Bundled Linen Services for those choosing Dorm-Style Lodging. What's that? We have four main buildings; Williamson Lodge, Lakeside Center, Clark Hall, and Parkside. What's the difference in those buildings? These terms can all be quite confusing!
Let's talk about building styles:
Williamson Lodge has 127 rooms. Of those 127, we offer six Suites. The Suites all have One King Size Bed, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, ironing board and iron, small table with setting chairs, and some may offer a pull-out couch or rocking chair. Williamson Lodge offers 25 rooms opening into an interior hallway (two of those rooms are suites). As you open your door in these 25 rooms, you walk directly into an enclosed hallway; whereas, all other Williamson Lodge rooms open to an outdoor walkway. In this section of Williamson Lodge, 23 rooms have a slightly different room set up than the 98 remaining rooms in Williamson Lodge. These 23 rooms all contain One Queen Size bed and two bunk beds. Included in this block of 23 rooms are four Wheelchair Accessible rooms wherein the showers are set up specifically to allow the wheelchair to easily maneuver into the bathroom and shower areas, as well as access other parts of the room. Some of these 23 rooms offer showers only; no bathtubs. The remaining 98 rooms in Williamson Lodge are all set with two full beds and one bunk bed; each offers a bathtub/shower combination. All 127 rooms in Williamson Lodge offer television service; however, hookups for your Playstation, Xbox, etc. are not available so don't worry about packing those large items for your trip. Save those for your time at home; you're probably here for different reasons anyway!
Lakeside Center offers 20 rooms with a meeting room directly in the middle of the building. On each side of the meeting room there are ten rooms set the same on both sides. Of those ten rooms, you will find eight set with two full beds and four bunk beds per room; one is set with three bunk beds only; and one is a Suite which contains one King Bed, sofa sleeper, small refrigerator, coffee pot, television, and private bathroom. Each room offers its own bathroom, but these do not have bathtubs or showers. The only rooms with a private bath are the suites. Public showers are located on each wing of the building. There are lounges located on each wing at Lakeside. The lounge contains a television and several couches/chairs for small meetings or get-togethers. The only televisions located at Lakeside are in the suites/lounges
Clark Hall offers 24 rooms all set with five bunk beds per room. Each room contains a bathroom with two showers per room; no televisions.
Parkside offers 12 rooms all set with five bunk beds per room. Each room contains a bathroom with one shower per room; no televisions.
